The BDR goes NE from Cortez to Telluride to Buena Vista, kinda through the San Juans. But then continues up to the Wyoming border.

Re: Inadvertently did part of Colorado BDR

Rick, you ever do the CO BDR? They tell me it is suitable for upgraded jeeps. No single track.

Didn't realize this was on the BDR until a couple guys on proper dirt bikes told me.

I can only assume this is because they now have Yuengling. And for that reason, I will likely be in.

Re: MSRC 1.7 state of the track

I got on the track Sunday. I took the Triumph out (just to clean up my chicken strips) since I hadn't had it at the track in a couple of years. 99% of the track was really good. There are still a few bumps on the straight after ricochet, but not nearly as bad as before. And there was a crack in the ...

I hear ECR is still quite good. They apparently did it right the first time. But I haven't been there myself for nearly two years.

Wonder if some moisture got in there somehow.
I suppose it is possible. But then I don't ride it in the rain and I had dielectric grease in it. I'm considering putting each of the three wires in individual insulated connectors to improve the isolation.

GSX-R. Looking at the Gixxer forums, this is a common issue for the bikes from the early to mid 2000's. Should be an easy fix as long as it didn't fry something down the line.

MSRC 1.7 state of the track

https://youtu.be/R3kA3gKfE24 I uploaded a video of a casual lap to show the state of the track as of July of this year. You will notice significant patching in most of the corners. Right after ricochet and just before entry into rattlesnake, you will notice the pavement changes color. This is becau...

Is it supposed to look like this?

20210810_080954.jpg It is the connector between the stator and regulator. Looks like arcing inside the connector. It happened one day immediately on start (saw smoke) so I don't think it was just resistance in the connection. Static test on the stator and regulator looks fine. Will check voltage ou...

Re: Good road for MC?

On 12, day before yesterday. There wasn't anyone checking at the gate on the park side, though I can't say I read all the signs. There was an SUV of some kind that did go down the road driven by someone not knowing what they were doing. When meeting approaching traffic he stopped on the left side ne...

Re: Good road for MC?

BTW revisited Utah 12 from Capitol Reef to Bryce. Great road for a street ride. Especially that twisty section with steep drops on BOTH sides. It is getting new pavement right now.

And I think most of the unpaved roads in that area, it probably helps to like sand.

Oh, you can get in there in that they aren't stopping anyone from driving down the road. Camp sites are tough. OTOH Hotels are actually pretty easy to get right now.
