Re: Kinda what I'm thinking about - DP trip

I'm thinking about picking up this homemade trailer for $325. Supposedly has lights wiring that I could plug into my existing uhaul module and ramps for motorcycle...Anything else I should be aware of before I buy this?

I did! Took all day, just got back! Taking it to metric garage in the morning for a check up. Guy threw in a pirelli mt21 rallycross tire as well. So I'm thinking about mounting that on.

Getting a little crowded in the garage.

Coincidentally, a few of us with CR/CMA be heading down to that area for our "Run for the Son" ride tomorrow, and then lunch at Hard8. So we might run into each other around noon...if y'all are still there :)

Right now I don't even have a route picked yet. I let you know once I decide on one,
I'm out. Spent all day corner working at the flat track. I'm exhausted and planning on sleeping in.

Re: KLR Flat tire procedure

The KLR needs new shoes so I figured why not test out the new tools and simulate a field problem. I ended up using a combination of jig saw, diagonal cutters and a dremel to get the old tire off so things started off pretty badly for the "field kit" I chewed up the bead hard core on the n...

It was Matt's '15 RSV4. Absolutely insane how it maintained power and pull all the way through to the top... Maybe all liter bikes are like that, but I don't have a whole lot of experiences for reference.

Re: BMW Demos FPS Hurst 4/13-14

The S1000RR was fine as well, couldn't really get a feel for it, since it was a group demo ride. We went through some bumpy roads, and suspension seemed great and it was a little more comfortable than the R1, if I remember correctly. The R1 sits a little higher and position is a bit more forward I t...

Re: Motorcycle camping

How "robust" was the gear mounting and would you run that same setup in the rain? Everything was pretty sturdy, I even leaned back on it as a backrest a few times. Good point about rain. I think I could have wrapped everything in the tarp if it started raining, and all the bags had rain c...

I didn't bring a chair, but I could have stacked a full size foldable on top I think... I didn't bring...
