CotA 7/9-7/10

Post by turismon » Thu May 12, 2016 9:34 am

RideSmart has a new CotA date they added if you weren't aware on the 9th and 10th of July. It's only 380 dollars as opposed to the regular 485.

Was thinking of trying this since it's summer time out there and it's something I always wanted to do. Not sure about forking out that much for it, but it's a once in a lifetime type of deal!

Yeah, that cheaper price is interesting.

I really want to do this since it's 20 min from my house...I just need to sell a kidney to pay for it and all of the expenses I have coming up this summer and fall.

You probably wasted COTA money on those 5 stitches when you could have just used a stapler.

I want to do this but realistically it will be next year before I can swing it all.

Well, my stitches bill is going to be about $260 after insurance "discounts" (almost $700 without them). So COTA is going to be a go for me. Now I'm just trying to decide which day to attend - Saturday or Sunday? Leaning toward Sunday.

You'd have had to meet me in Lampasas, but I would have done it cheaper.

Had a blast and no incidents for me....

This damn Ducati guy on an 1199 was pissing me off all day though. I was on his ass through the whole course and then he would pass me or not let me pass on the straights. Then I was on his ass the whole rest of the way around the course. I would even be on his ass by the time I finished braking at the end of the straight. Love riders with more money than skill. There was a couple and both of them were on BMW S1000RRs. Passed both of them on the SV...

Vids or it didn't happen! lol j/k, sounds like fun, damn I want to go, I got a feeling it's 10x more fun than videos look cause you can't get a feel for the elevation changes etc. on that track in video.

Well with that story you've now pissed me off too (vicariously that is). Yeah, nothing quite like that. L1 is especially bad in that regard. Good job of keeping your cool and not pushing to the point of a mistake...though I can imagine how badly you wanted to give him the old Rossi "bump & lean".

I do have some vids from the track and some pretty good pics on Hart's page. Really was a great time. Even have a pic of me riding the Duc's rear end in the corners... :)

I'll be coming out both days, as I don't live too far from the track, I won't be participating just checking it out. Sadly I have plans later in the day Saturday so I won't be there all day.

Mostly looking to meet some of the crew and check out RideSmart.
