Shane, it goes without saying, but I will anyway just to remove any uncertainty, you should set up with us. We will have room.

I saw your bike but you were pretty far from the main building. The opened up the space in front so that's where I am. Wasn't sure if you owned the easy up by your bike or not. You can join me closer to the building if you like... didn't seem like there were a lot of people setting up tonight.

I had a good time in the afternoon on Sunday but I never really felt on all day. Monday they only rolled out the trucks twice. There was a double coming out of ricochet in level 2. One bike drove back in. There was also a level 3 down near big bend because a dog ran across the track. The rider was fine, the bike was trucked in, the dog did not survive.

I was there too. It was nice to see Heath, Derek and Jeff. I had a great time, it was a beautiful day, a successful one also, and no major mishaps, although if I had a Ducati and I crashed it hitting a dog, I would be pissed. I wonder if that corner work in 8 was on the ball, seemed like that could have been avoided.

I'm going to get my pics also, I have already seen ways I can improve just by looking at some of the other riders that seem to have better position and lean angles. Does anyone use lap timers?

I didn't use a lap timer. Was riding like shit the whole day except session 5. Last lap of session 5 I got a nasty cramp in my left calf half way through Wagonwheel. Felt it coming on in the Rattlesnake. Then the checker came out, but I was going to pit anyway. Went on an off road excursion coming out of Tombstone in session 2. Kept the bike upright. Target fixated. Just felt like the bike had limited traction all day so it made me timid. It was still fun, but I guess my head wasn't in it.

Thank you Jeff and Derek for letting me put with y'all. Always good to have some company.

This was my third time on the 1.3. It really didn't feel like it, but I beat my best previous lap time by 8 seconds. If I can manage that every time, in 5 or 6 years I'll have the track record!

Yeeeeaaaahh.....not sure it works that way... :) I've only ridden the 1.3 twice. I wonder why they don't run the full 3.1 circuit at all?

The 3.1 is never used in CMRA events and unfortunately RS is heavily influenced by CMRA racers and what track configurations they want to run.

However, the 3.1 is a rather odd track and the 1.3 and 1.7 don't flow well into each other. It's also becomes a little too big of a track. You don't get very many laps in per session and it becomes quite a bit harder to work on turns/lines since you don't get to hit the same turn as frequently. I've done the 3.1 a couple of times, and while I enjoyed it, I'd rather run just the 1.3.

Cost is a factor, I don't remember what it was, it wasn't twice but it was more expensive than the 1.7 or 1.3 by itself.
