Good ride Rick.

They finished up the bike in an hour and a half, so I was able to meet up with the group in Palo Pinto. I now have 1038 miles on the bike.

What a great ride! I know I was hungry, but that was one darn good brisket sandwich. Does anyone know our total miles more or less? Thanks Rick

Wait, don't you have one of those ride leader icons by your avatar? :D

On a different note, we met you guys about a mile or two south of I-20 on US281, looks like you were headed to Natty Flats. Rick leading, Heath riding drag, couldn't make out who else, but looked like a nice turnout. Then we spotted Jim chasing after you just west of Weatherdord. Hated to miss it.

You haven't done a long ride yet

Here is one of my long rides:clicky
Tooner wrote:What a great ride! I know I was hungry, but that was one darn good brisket sandwich. Does anyone ,now our total miles more or less? Thanks Rick
Actual route was just over 200 miles but by the time you add in getting to the meetup and slabbing it around it adds up.

For me I consider long rides in the 300 - 500 mile range, my preference is long rides but it's hard to do them publicly since people start getting miserable. I can cover a ton of ground by myself by stretching out the gas stops and doing gas-n-go's but that ruins it for a lot of people so I try to keep things civil and non miserable. I think my record is something like 2200 miles in 4 days but it's been a long time so I don't remember exactly.

From what I recall: yes. 250, 300, 650, ZX-10

Then Rick's RSV4, a S1000RR, and Jim showing up in the middle with his new R1.

The really scary part was that there wasn't enough tow-bikes to get them all home in the event of worst case scenario. I call that a big "whew!"

I'm living on the edge now...I'm riding without duct tape in the tank bag, tempting fate!
