Moderate Ride Saturday May 7th

Post by fixxervi6 » Wed May 04, 2016 4:01 pm

FWMR Club Ride

Meetup: Sonic on Clifford St. in White Settlement
Kick stands up: 10:00am
Ride Leader: Fixxervi6

This will be a Moderate pace ride. Moderates are great for riders who want a slightly faster pace than beginners but still slow enough to be relaxed and comfortable on any sized bike, with a passenger, or learning to ride with the group. The pace for a moderate ride is at or near posted speed limits. On a Moderate ride the ride leader tries to keep a closer eye on the group and adjust the speeds appropriately.

Please be dressed appropriately: helmet, jacket, gloves, over the ankle shoes and long pants.

Weather is looking good, I haven't selected a route yet but it will head south, we are leaving a little later to avoid the cooler morning temperatures, when a route is chosen I will update this section.

Most likely out..I think I'm on granddaughter duty this weekend. She and I are making it a 6-Flags day of it tomorrow...she's 8 and I'm teaching her to love roller-coasters. So far said training is taking hold.

As for the bike washing part...we need to do something...I used to be mister meticulous on bike cleaning, but after buying the naked bike...well, it's just a lot more work than fully-faired. I think we need a club bike washer, but with the full roll of meatballs, you'd think we just need to setup a Meatball Bike Wash and let them do their thing. El Presidente...I think it's time for an executive order.

You know, after 2-1/2 years of being in the club (on the boards, whatever), the only place we've actually ridden together that I recall is at the track. My very first ride I met up at Hard 8 (after I chased you guys around for a while), but you left for home from there. Some day...

...assuming the Kawasaki keeps running I mean.

Where are you going? Maybe after I get done with the service I can meet you somewhere. They said 2 hours, but I'm expecting it to be 3.
