Moderate Ride - Sunday June, 5, 9:00 AM

Post by dufremle » Fri Jun 03, 2016 8:15 pm

FWMR Club Ride

Meetup: Sonic on Clifford St. in White Settlement
Kick stands up: 9:00am
Get there early if you want food or coffee.
Ride Leader: dufremle

This will be a Moderate pace ride. Moderates are great for riders who want a slightly faster pace than beginners but still slow enough to be relaxed and comfortable on any sized bike, with a passenger, or learning to ride with the group. The pace for a moderate ride is at or near posted speed limits. On a Moderate ride the ride leader tries to keep a closer eye on the group and adjust the speeds appropriately.

Please be dressed appropriately: helmet, jacket, gloves, over the ankle shoes and long pants.

The weather is looking good for Sunday. This will be the same route I had planned for last weekend. Plan on drinking a lot of water as it will be hot and humid with all the rain we have had. A Camelback would be a good idea. There is also the possibility some of the roads may be flooded and or covered in debris. Lunch will be at Ranchman's in Ponder.

I'm not naming names, but someone ran over a squirrel. I saw the whole thing go down and they didn't fully kill it. Now i had the opportunity to run over it to put it out of his misery, but seeing as a i had a new bike i decide to the the poor thing suffer. There may or may not be video to this crime as well...

Good ride guys!

Yeah that was kinda scary until I hit it, figured it would been a bigger bump, but I guess the little squirrel wasn't to happy about the bikes roaming on his road.

Great ride today, thanks for leading Jim! Glad it ended up near my house, we went further than I anticipated!

Glad we checked out ECR!

Here's a sneak preview of Brent murdering the squirrel, until I figure how to create a higher quality gif.

Thanks everyone for coming out. Guess it worked out that my phone battery didn't last, we got to stop at ECR. Too bad we didn't get to do a parade lap.

Yes, looks like murder. Can't say it was premeditated, but most definitely no remorse shown after the fact. :???: :( :-)

It's most definitely your time to go when a 1" wide contact patch is your undoing.

Hated to miss it, looked like a great day for riding. Jim leading, Miles riding, wow!

And JT not knowing where his bikes are...WTH?

Loaded into the moving truck Thursday the 27th. Could be in Maine right now for all I know. So long as they arrive on the 17th, un damaged, I'm fine.

You ever see the Richard Pryor movie "Moving"? They're probably at Mardi Gras.
