But is it close to as good as Deadpool? lol just kidding I know that's to much to ask for.

It's better than Deadpool i think, but I'm one of the few people that don't put it on a pedestal it doesn't deserve.

What? How could you say it don't deserve it. It was funny not PG and real to the comics while being on a low budget for such a movie. It was everything Deadpool should be (and would have been better if they wouldn't have been afraid to spend money on it).

I went into it only knowing that Deadpool was notorious for breaking the 4th wall and thought the movie as a whole was hilarious. I was in tears at points from laughing so hard. And an R rates superhero movie was a nice change of pace. I understand PG-13 but with the darkness of so many of the comic book characters anymore and R is the only way to really bring that to the big screen.

Just did the research and Deadpool was made on 58 mil while Captain America Civil War was 250 mil. Think about what Deadpool could have done with about 5x its budget. Anyway just wanted to keep it in perspective when thinking about the 2. I am sure Civil War is better seeing as it has the support and so many stars/great comic hero's in it. I am very interested to see how Deadpool 2 turns out if it gets a proper budget.

With the R rating though it will just about be guaranteed to gross lower because it looses out on the teen and kid audiences.

That is true.... I am interested in which movie will make the most money net though. Seeing as Deadpool started 200 mil ahead I am thinking it has the advantage.

Deadpoll is out on DVD already. Seems like it was just last month it was in the theater. I can't help but think production companies are hurting their box office sales by bringing movies to DVD so quickly.

If you look at daily numbers on boxofficemojo you can see it dwindle down to barely any income, it's still at dollar movies but it's barely raking in 29k a day. They can make much more throwing dvd's out while it's fresh in people's minds. I for one think it's better that the turn it around faster than they used too, but I mean it's usually 4 months these days for most movies. Most people watch a movie once and done, re watchers usually do the same in the first few weeks of release. Stretching it out doesn't give them much benefit.

Yeah, but if you know the movie will be out on DVD in 4 months I'd think a lot of people wouldn't bother seeing it in the theater and just wait for it to come to DVD. I know I do, there are very few movies I go to the theaters to see.

This is me, it's gotta be one hell of a movie for me to go to a theater.

If I didn't have granddaughters, I'd probably never go to the theater. And I very seldom buy DVD's, or even download movies. I watch on Dish and Netflix. If they don't have it, I don't need it.

I don't go to the theater to watch many movies. Just the few that I am super excited about.
