Good evening

Post by nomad » Thu Jan 08, 2015 10:00 pm

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I'm not sure how I found this place but I have been lurking around for a week and thought I'd knock on the door and come in. I suck at the whole introduction thing but here goes:

I'm 34, married, just had a baby, and work too many hours. I have been riding since 2010 when I moved down to TX from Chicago. My first bike was a ninja 500, then I graduated to a VFR800 and toured on that bike. My wife got pregnant so I sold the VFR and bought a 2013 zx6r. I love this bike. It's a lot more fun to ride shorter distances as well in stop and go traffic. I haven't ridden in a little while since I've had my hands full with an infant, but this spring that will change.

When I'm not working, riding, or spending time with my family I'm being a man child and playing video games.

I always wear gear when I ride, I don't stunt, cause mischief, etc. I also don't drink when I ride. I'm pretty laid back, and lately I'm always tired. Is guess that comes with the territory of being a new dad haha.
I look forward to nmeeting you guys and gals, and ridng together.

If there is anything I missed or if you have any questions please let me know.

Welcomes, from the sound of it you found the right place. Only thing you screwed up on was not posting a pic of that sweet sweet bike! :)

Thanks guys. I have a little work to do to my bike before I take her out again, so I'm hoping the weather gives me a good day or 2 on an upcoming weekend so I can turn wrenches. (No heated garage)

As far as games go, right now I'm playing the halo 5 beta, COD AW, Far Cry 4, and I've really been neglecting my WoW account. I plan on picking up the new mortal kombat and street fighter when they come out. I mainly play at night when my kiddo goes to bed and my wife is falling asleep. Usually a Friday night or Saturday night type thing.

My wife used to ride then she got pregnant. She says she will again once our son gets older.

Dang that's a sexy bike. Kawasaki did white bikes right.

I just started in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. It's a lot of fun so far. The new Wolfenstein rocks too, I just finished that one.

Welcome!

What part of Chicago are you from? My wife and I both call Chicago home, but I'm from the western 'burbs.

How funny that RC30rder and I have the same bikes lol. Well my ninja 500 was sold last year when my wife got pregnant.

JT, do you go by JT? That's my name actually haha. I'm from the south side but when I was old enough to live on my Owen I moved out to duo age county. Me and my family are actually going back in a few weeks so our grandparents can see the baby.
