Well I busted my high-speed slide cherry.
First session, I pull up to the marshal to head out, he says be careful pit-out is slick. So I decide to get some heat in my tires. Roll on the throttle down pit lane, get on the brakes, wash out the front tire. The S3 came out remarkably well, no functional damage just cosmetic. I wore a hole in a glove and an elbow of my leathers. I think I must have gone down around 60mph. Really sad to crash before even getting on the track.
I sat out the session to get my head together, then dropped down to beginner because I knew I didn't have the confidence to push it. Got in 2 full sessions before lunch then packed up due to freakin' cold.
Not the way I wanted to end my season, but oh well. I've got a few months to fix up the S3 now.
