Extreme Motorsports is puting on open trackdays at ECR. $75.00 a day. If you want to ride contact Maggie Williams at mwilliams@eaglescanyon.com to arrange payment. The track fees paid this weekend will go to the repairs that are underway at ECR. The repairs that have been made were successful concerning the weeping of water in turns 1,2,8,9 and 10. I spent this past Saturday corner working and Sunday riding. No wet spots on the track.
This is not an entry level track day. There will not be any formal instruction. There will be control riders, corner workers and track marshal thats about it.

If this is not an entry level track day, who is it for and why are they advertising it?

Basically what they are just saying is if you've never done a trackday this is not the one for you.

That's what I figured but I consider RS L1 entry level.

It is a bit odd that they would ask for riders to sign up through ECR management, which is typically done only for ECR open days. This event is hosted by EMTD, and they even have their usual registration link on their website, so this is a bit confusing.

I'm not running it. I thought it odd that "entry level" shouldnt register so in my mind I was thinking level 1 running people.

Who knows whats going on. Maybe ECR management wants to talk to those that register first.

They do have level 1 thru 3. level 1 being novice and level 3 being expert. There is no class time and no formal instruction. They will if you ask them or if they see if you need help put you with a control rider for consultation and advicie. If you and Monster were to come out and you wanted to work with Monster on basic body position and wanted to use the Sena communication system. Just let the track marshal know before you go out and he will get the information to the other riders in your group and to the control riders. It is just an opportunity to work on your skill set at your own pace. If you want help ask if you want to work on your own and you are not putting other riders in danger then thats ok also.

I have been told by the owner of Extreme Motorsports the next repair to ECR is the bumpy condition of the track. The cash raised from this event is going towards these repairs.

ECR is not a track I will be taking Monster on until she is ready for it, even though she rides likes she invincible (don't believe what she tells you). The only track she will be riding is Cresson.

Why? There's nothing inherently more dangerous about ECR than Cresson.

Bumps are just a thing you learn to deal with, like decreasing radius turns.

If you want to go over those bumps at a certain speed...traction is not very reassuring

It's the same as a turn though. You have to run the correct speed for the turn or you eat it. Bumps just mean you have to run the correct speed for the straight away or you eat it. Just like turn 1 at COTA, no bumps but you sure as hell don't want to crest the hill with too much speed.

Then why did CMRA pull out of ECR like you pulled out of that hooker with herpes?
