August 20 ride, southern route

Post by soslow » Thu Aug 17, 2017 10:49 am

Hello everybody,

We are going to have a ride this sunday leaving from the Sonic in White Settlement at 8:30am. Riders meeting at 8:15, usual gear rules of helmet, jacket, gloves and moto boots apply. Sign up on meetup here: https://www.meetup.com/Texas-SportBike- ... 242619826/

We will be headed south, possible Loco Coyote for lunch but route is still being determined. Hope to see you all there, these rides have been lots of fun and the weather should be nice. Pace will be determined by the group but please feel free to attend regardless of your speed- we will accommodate on the slow end for sure.

Mike

Damn. Battery is dead on the R1. I'm going to try to get a new one today.

Had the same issue two weeks ago. Hadn't touched the bike in weeks. When I went to go start it I got nothing. Plugged in the battery tender next day it was good to go. Wife had unplugged the battery tender and forgot to plug it back in. :spank:

Charged the battery and took it for a ride. Good to go. I left it in the 'park' mode, which slowly drains the battery over time.

Just to be safe, I took the GS out for a short ride to charge the battery. I forget how big the GS is until i get on the R1.

I rather replace a dead battery than an engine. :D
