Thats why I said a couple of weeks, figured that would be enough time to keep the miles down per day, to stop and smell the roses and take a day "off" here and there.

Fair enough. It's definitely worth trying. Some of the roads through Canada are pretty rough, but people have done them on Goldwings and you did the off-road thing on your GSXR already.

The main tip I've heard is have a spare set of tires mailed to Hyder so you can get them changed. The roads on the way eat tires very quickly.

Are there paved roads all the way to Alaska yet? I know 5 or 6 years ago there was not.

I don't think so. But the roads that exist are passable by a Goldwing, so they should be passable by a GSXR.

It's all paved, but it's constantly under construction in the summer months(the road is 1387 miles long), so you'll always have some sections of gravel / construction road. It's about like driving from Dallas to San Diego, doing it on a road like FM 455 the whole way. The crappy part of 455.

Let's go!!!!!!!!

Actually, let's go to Fairbanks, then chill out in the Chena Hot Springs while gazing at the Northern Lights...

This might be doable for me now that I got the goldwing. I can carry a set of tires on the back seat. Challenge!!

Cause I hate the whole idea of facebook. As I just heard today, Facebook is for divorced people to find old flames for hookups.

So.... is this for members only? I don't have anywhere in my profile or where I can click on achievements to add any.
