Yup...Eric requests it quite often. I made 2 tonight and have 4 left. I am still working out the pizza peel :SmileIZOD: It looks simple but in reality, it is not.

Youre going to need to sell more than two bikes to fit that in the garage

93, where am I going, places man, I'm going places.

Anywhere I won't take the GS, so Grand Staircase, white rim, backwoods bfe big bend etc etc.

Great roads = ape
Good roads with some dirt mixed in here and there = GS
Dirt = KX
SHIT = Jeep

Last Saturday, July 28 we drove to CO. Hiked some peaks. Monday afternoon we took a dirt road from Alma CO to Leadville CO. I was aware that there was a small length of the dirt road at Mosquito Pass where there was a short length of "more difficult" road. It didn't look extremely difficult but gradually became more aggressive until at the summit my 23yo son Jaden got out to look under the Ridgeline just to make sure all was well. He came back with wide, OMG eyes and stating "We are losing oil!" I took a quick look and estimated that we had maybe 30-45 minutes before we would lose oil pressure. Not knowing the road ahead I decided that the devil we knew was better than the one we didn't. So, we turned around and navigated as carefully as we could back down the .25 mile rough road and then hauled arse back to pavement. As we came back to civilization and cell service, an internet search indicated that a Napa Auto Parts store was located 6 miles to our south in Fair Play, CO! The guy at Napa told us that we could drop the oil. Clean the oil pan with brake cleaner once the leaking oil stopped. Apply JB Weld, and wait for 4 hours for it to cure. Replace oil, start the engine and ask the God of aluminum oil pans for mercy! So we spent 4 hours in Fair Play (the town South Park is based on) and it worked! Yesterday my most recent purchase was a new oil pan. I wish they came in good old-fashioned, steel!

Rick, have you had the Jeep out in the mud yet? What year is it? What engine does it have? Standard or automatic? I really don't have much Jeep knowledge or experience but that may change. Since our Colorado trip I have started looking at Jeeps, weighing the pros and cons of Jeep ownership. How is it going for you so far?

93 YJ
Manual
No mud yet
4.0L

Haven't done much with it yet, mostly giving it some TLC and driving it around town, it's currently stuck in 4wd so it's not going anywhere until I replace the transfer case shifter clip.

I want to put a locker in it before I do anything too "offroadish"

I would have stuck with the JB welded oil pan. :)) Hell the BMW still has JB weld on the radiator from our Big Bend trip way back in the day.

The more people I talk to that have used JB weld the more I agree with you! Damn, I put it right up there with baling wire and duct tape!

No I check the fluid level regularly and always look for any wet spots but .... its holding perfectly so why mess with it?

NIB NOS 2015/2016 SMX-6 vented boots, from Canada this time, for $200usd shipped.

So that is a little over $2600 of gear for $1015 total, all new but the gloves. I didn’t plan on getting more than a used high end suit so my Techinic one stayed newish looking, but I got carried away, and it became how cheap can I get some matching stuff. The helmet was too good to pass up. Now I’m afraid to scratch stuff again
