Swan Mx first day!

Drove out to Tyler TX, this morning and purchased an annual membership at Swan MX. Weather permitting the track is open 24/7 (excluding race weekends) and each member has an electronic Key that opens the gate after 0900 until 2100 (aka 9:00 pm). Camping is free and includes electric and water hookup.

The track is the kind that can be ridden slowly or aggressively according to the riders skill level. As opposed to a track like The Underground, Kemp TX which IMO is a track that requires a baseline ability in MX that is above mine to even be safe on the track. According to the owner/operator, the track is rarely crowded unless it is a race weekend. A rider coming midweek may often be the only rider on the track.

There was never more than 3 other riders on the track with me today and got so much riding time in that I actually was that guy that, yup ran out of gas! Hell, I have rarely ever had to fuel up, riding dirt, let alone run the tank dry...

Hey Shaun, nice riding! I'm about 1/2 or maybe 1/3 your speed but I will be having one hell of a fun time working on my dirt moves! Hopefully I won't need any medical consults along the way. There is a good chance I will be at Swan again this Saturday the 20th unless it rains. Starting in February I will have some weekdays off that I also plan to spend at Swan. Do you ever race, or just ride? Let me know when you are going and I will try to coordinate my schedule.

Dude thats not me - I hate jumps! I'm always terrified by the fact that I cant see whats on the other side. Last time i was riding on a track like this i broke a rib
I was doing some trails at rocky ridge a few weeks ago and my clutch broke a mile from the parking lot... i got a lot of exercise that day.
