I plan on grabbing a hotel just for convenience so I don't have to unload anything, about to google that up now actually.

Then only ~7 hours to escalate, gets us in early enough that we can setup camp at a relaxed pace

ok yea booked that hotel, it has free breakfast - there are lots of hotels in that are and full disclosure I didn't look real hard so it's probably not the best deal or best one but it's a bed and a shower, with breakfast at not a crazy rate.

When you say depart by 8, do you mean you depart your house by 8? Sam is about 35 minutes from here up 35W. I can get to him early and meet you in Decatur at around 8:45.

Any particular time bad tomorrow to get the trailer? I'm thinking in the AM but not real early.

Rick has a hell of story to tell ya. I am not sure about Jeff and Sam (for the days they were not with Rick).

I do believe they pack up shop tomorrow to head back this way (arriving Saturday). I expect them to update sometime Sunday or Monday.

Yeah bad vacation days suck. The problem is (correct me if I'm wrong here, as it's been a while. {rub it in Marty..rub it in.}) that employers don't generally give you any vacation days back to do over again.
Just like while at work, the slave drivers expect you to get it right the first time.

He was stuck in Albuquerque for several days and Jeff and Sam went ahead to go ride.

Rick has only had 2 days of riding as of today. Yesterday, it seemed that everyone kept wrecking and today was nothing but sand SO...he isn't a happy camper
