I'm going down Friday night. Should be at Mañana Saturday morning for Bikes and Coffee, and then riding around the area for a bit. Only got tickets for Sunday.

Guy from work was going to go and then can't so he just handed me his two Sat and Sunday grounds passes. I'm only 20 min from the track so I may go hang out. May just hit the main race on Sunday.

Nice, looks like Saturday is going to rain all day. We might go to the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show...

Based on the rider complaints I'll be surprised if we see Cota on next years season

I heard that there are plans to address the bumpy pavement. Is that the main complaint?

So I went and answered my own question. They brought in a grinder of the type used on European tracks. One rider who rode it a couple weeks ago said it was better, but he's an American and he is used to bumpy tracks. Looks like the Europeans aren't as impressed with the level of progress that has (or hasn't) been made. I think it was Rossi that said it was more suitable for motocross.

Pretty sure I'm about 10 feet behind ya at Turn 1. Been at COTA all three days and loving it!

Nice! I'm glad we sat at turn 1, all the action seemed to be right there! Awesome first time experience for me!

Turn 1 is easily the best, especially with general admission! Turn 10 is pretty cool and I think the Turn 13 Grandstands might be nice. I'm strongly considering Turn 1 grandstands next year.
