V4 Ducati

Post by fixxervi6 » Sat May 05, 2018 5:12 pm

I took a demo ride today of the new V4 Ducati

I couldn't do much with it since it was a demo ride but damn - that thing has stupid power.

It feels like a bit of a pig compared to the ape, it stumbles down low on launch but once your above say 18mph it's pretty nice, engine is pretty smooth - I would totally own this thing.

He's going to buy one. Eventually. Hopefully it won't blood up like the App.

It's a 90 degree V4, wet clutch and timing chains.

I don't choose a bike just by how it sounds

I just got through taking it for a 20 minute test ride and will say it is easily the best motorcycle i have ever been on. I started laughing about 30 seconds into the ride and am so tempted to go buy one.

It is smooth above 1500 and goes mental when you turn the gas on at any point in the rev range. the shifts are so smooth up and down that I stopped even trying to better it with the clutch. It is fine in 6th gear at 35mph and in 2nd at 90. it revs for days. it breaks hard. the interventions are seamless and the wheelie control is invisible.

I cannot get over how a 200+bhp bike could be so friendly. It was not scary to ride at all and felt like I was riding any 600 until i smacked the throttle open. it is more comfortable than my mv and far less savage. the suspension is firm but supple and the steering is natural and light.

only time will tell if it is to be reliable and if it proves so, I will be looking at it in the next year or two.

it sounds rad as well.
