Break-in ride - various pace

I'm still in the break-in period on the bike so nothing too crazy but I need to "vary the pace" to keep the engine from humming along at the same RPM but I don't want to get wild due to, being in the break-in period.
KSU 9:30 at Sonic, I have no route (no GPS setup or radar on the bike yet) so I'll just make it up as i go, one risk we will have is lunch - Monday is a holiday so many place may not be open.
