Lithium ion Battery

Just a heads up to anyone who is considering changing to a lithium ion battery. I installed a lithium ion, lithium IRON specifically not ,Lithium Cobalt Oxide, or Lithium Manganese Oxide. One of the negative attributes of these batteries is a decrease in power output in cold ambient temperatures. To combat this power output decrease one can "warm" the battery up by turning on the ignition for a minute or so before starting the engine. I'm just saying that when the temp outdoors is in the 20's, warming the battery up doesn't seem completely solve the problem as my bike was barley able to crank yesterday.

My last battery was AGM. I may go back to that if I end up having issues. One mistake I made with my AGM battery was that I just entered my bike info into the website and ended up with a "correct" battery that only put out 90 CCA. I should have done more research and purchased a more powerful battery. My current Li ion battery has 225 CCA on a warm day...
