What do you mean?

Front tire changed. It was much easier than the rear.

I heard back from Marc Parnes. I need a different kit, which is about $10 more, but includes a universal balancer shaft and cones. I'll probably order it today. He recommends a FZB kit (universal shaft and cones, with a longer shaft than the UNIV kit), plus the BA12 BMW spoke rear wheel adapter.

Cool. How about 4 at BJ's then?

Test packing everything I think I'll need today. Too bad it's raining or I would load it up and go for a test ride. So far I think I'm on track. I will definitely have some questions when we meet.

Do either of you have a round hole saw blade, like for a door handle? If you do can I borrow it?

I have some hole saws for wood. Not for your motorcycle boxes. I will bring them. 4 at BJs is fine with me.

Thanks. It's to cut a couple of holes in a plastic bin. Making a toy for the cats. :D

I can do 4

I don't have any hole bits, I just use like jig saws etc.

I can't make 4 today. Jim, ping me sometime this week, and I can get the Scala to you.

Don't most motorcycle places only do static. Thought dynamic for motorcycles was typically viewed as unnecessary and not worth the cost of the dynamic machine.

I always thought they only do static. Not sure motorcycles wheels are wide enough to be affected. The rear GS wheel might be, though. I know the tire is heavy enough. Marc Parnes balancer ordered this morning.

If you wanted to get the best ride, you could do road force balancing and clock the tire to the wheel before doing a dynamic balance.

(I don't know if road force balancing equipment even exists for MC tires)

If you purchase the tires through cycle gear they will balance the tires for free. Just FYI if anyone needed to know. And it is dynamic balance.

Balancer arrived today. I'll balance the tires this weekend and see how they run. I ride the bike to work today and had a bit of vibration at triple digits, but not much. Could have been the tire tread design.

Looks like my Packtalk will arrive Saturday. Gives me plenty of time to get it set up and learn to use it.

Yea! Syncing will be slightly less nightmarish.

Just FYI: I'm seeing 4.2 as the latest firmware for the plain Packtalk and the Bold, released July of 2018.

Tires balanced. Packtalk updated and installed. Bike test loaded and test ridden. I'm almost ready to go. Getting excited!
