Re: Holy shit - yall are still around!

Only two new places?

Where is the new place? Depending on my travel schedule I might be able to swing by.

Holy shit - yall are still around!

Hey everyone, prolly hardly remember me, but I was that whiny guy on that super gorgeous White/Blue Daytona 674. I moved to Kansas City. Well I'm back - but I'm out of bikes for the time being. Long story.... Still in motorsports, with this being my project now: 20190629_115306.jpg Just saying Hi! A...

I'd check with the cafe racer crew as this is a pretty long shock for a traditional sportbike setup. However a quick Google search shows....

Re: Frame sliders for the Ninja

I've heard both sides of this as well. I've personally had my bike saved by them (02 955i at 15 mph) where they, the bar end, and the passenger footpeg took all the damage. Personally, I believe that the likelihood of the parts alone causing exponential damages when minor damages would have existed ...

Re: Surprise appearance in our tent...

That sounds like a fun trip, but I've gotta ask, did you do any pre travel background prep? I was slated to go to Germany/Belgium for work back in 08, and I was given a 8 or 10 page packet of "cultural differences to be aware of during your trip". I distinctly remember the bathroom informa...

Re: Most recent purchase thread!

Before you sign on the line for that extended warranty, read the T&C VERY Carefully. Now that the issues are well known, I'd expect the policy to have significant more weasel-wordage to let them scamper out of fixing things.... It is very common in that industry for changes to be made constantly...

Re: Rotory superbike

Not to totally rag on rotary engines, as they are cool little tools, but the fastest RX-7 I've ever seen had a sweet motor swap..... Dumped the twin turbo'd custom rotary job, for a single turbo'd LS motor.

Yeah. His was literally the last Aprilia I've had personal knowledge of that didn't have catastrophic or other significant failure.

Lol, I was gonna say..... All the 14s made it through 2015.....not sure I'd trust a 17 without clarification of all the failure modes and engineering changes made.

Geez. What a deal.

Sounds like it needs to be totaled on the way home. "Sorry Mr. Insurance agent, not used to the power after it being broke for so long. Those painted lines sure don't have the grip they need"

Re: Soooo.. Anyone fry their eyes today?

It was awesome!!!! My house was about 5 miles from the path of totality.... So we drove 15 miles into it.

All these were taken with my S7. Wasn't going to go because of clouds and rain, but we ran out for lunch and it cleared up, so we took off. Glad we did!

Re: RSV4 update

Might be worth it. If the same store is doing the repair as has the r1 you want, they may do it to sell another r1. There may be some even further reduced trade in value, but to end the headache.....
