Re: RC-390 the future bike for my kids I think

I've got nothing against the little Ninja or CBR, but that KTM and the new R3 are the sharpest-looking bikes in their class. I predict that for 2016, Suzuki will not only have a little Gixxer, but the Busa and entire Gixxer lineup will be redesigned.

Re: Ear Worms

I don't think of them as ear worms. In any event, I get them every day.

Today it's Mellencamp's Jackie Brown.

Re: Motorcycle safety inspections on wet surfaces

The surface of the parking lot wasn't that wet (more like damp; 30 minutes after I left, it started raining. Then it was wet). In any event, three different people reiterated more than once that " It's against the law ." I couldn't agree with them then and I can't agree with them now. I'm ...

Motorcycle safety inspections on wet surfaces

I had three different people tell me today that it is illegal ( their word, not mine) to conduct the braking portion of a motorcycle safety inspection on a wet surface. They said it is clearly written in the law and that I can check it out myself if I wanted to. I did just that and thought everyone ...

Re: Any Resume pro's out there?

You've already gotten a lot of helpful hints on resume writing, so let me share something else with you: when you're at an interview, go prepared and act like you want the job. Late last year I was at this open house / networking event (which technically isn't an interview, but I think should have b...

Re: How humiliating must this have been for this guy?

Hitting a pothole or speed bump could cause that floor dolly to come out from underneath the car. It wouldn't be easy getting a jack in there to lift the car back up.

Re: New guy from Irving

I didn't tour the factory. That would have been cool. By the time I got out of the museum, the sun was beginning to set (and I'm sure the factory tours were over). Had I not spent so much time at Barber (Birmingham) that morning and had I not gotten stuck in traffic in Nashville, I probably could ha...

Re: New guy from Irving

I'll bet this is one of the ones that won't be restored. See the workers in the background? That's where the hole is.

I have no idea why the upper left corner of the picture got cut off.

Re: New guy from Irving

It was brought to my attention that GM built 43 1983 Vettes, but the one in the picture is simply the only one in existence.

These are the last ones I'm gonna post. I hope you guys liked them.

Re: New guy from Irving

Yes, the museum's in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The assembly plant where they're made is also there. Anyhow, when I was there, they had pulled about five Vettes out of the hole and had them out for everyone to see (I'm not sure why they did that because it wasn't a pretty site). I thought I heard some...

New guy from Irving

I met some of you this past Saturday on the ride you guys had with the Texas SportBike Riders - DFW meetup.com group. I was the guy on the red Honda Interceptor.

Here's my bike at the entrance to the national museum for an awesome American sports car. They've got lots and lots of cool cars there.
