Re: Motorcycle show

Went yesterday and I did see a small KTM display near the back. The 790 ADV looks great except where the gas tank sticks out low on the sides in the front. I'm sure someone will make crash bars for that. And the new Tenere 700 looks like a winner. But no Aprilia, was curious about the new 660, I thi...

Not for me, but I know a guy sort of looking. Would you consider trade for an R1?

Re: AGM Battery Discussion

Chart of the battery voltage in our four bikes. I've kept the bikes anonymous to preserve objectivity. Vertical Axis on the left is static EMF measured in the traditional "Volts" Horizontal Axis on the bottom is time in units of "days." Note: multiple measurements per day. So, span from first to lat...

Re: AGM Battery Discussion

If it was disconnected and went from 12.7v to 6v in three days, there is something wrong with it.

Re: AGM Battery Discussion

Was it fully charged (or sitting on a charger) before you disconnected it? If it is down to 6 volts in 3 days it likely already lost capacity or has a weak internal short. You should be able to exchange under warranty. Maybe what you need is a deep cycle battery :-)

Sure, where? I know of some great stuff 2000 miles away, but I have to believe there is good stuff closer.

Re: AGM Battery Discussion

Jim,
Try this: disconnect the battery, fully charge it, check the voltage every couple of days. After a few days connect it back up and try to start it. See if this works out any different from leaving it connected. Make sure the time spans are the same.

Re: Yamaha Street Bike Demo

That was my problem with the gold wing, too wide The new Gold Wing feels narrower than the old one. It also dropped a lot of weight, but reduced storage capacity. And now it has a new fork that gives it some of the same attributes as the BMW, but the design is "different." The suspension travel is ...

Do I follow correctly that you are planning to do a bike trip down and back to do some park recon well ahead of the March date?

Re: BBQ anyone?

I rode last Sunday, about 150 miles or so. Checked it on Wednesday and the gauge was showing 12.1 volts. I tried to start it and it wouldn't start. I threw it on the charger for a while and then it started right up. I hate AGM. I don't know what your bike is doing but we have 4 bikes with AGM batte...

Re: Eleven Motorsports

I'm sure if you have to ask their rates you can't afford them. I may head down there as an excuse to go for a ride. I saw that as part of the open house they are doing an open track day on the 1.7, don't have to be a member but non-members will pay $300 which seems pretty steep.

Haven't heard of them before. They don't seem to list membership rates. They are having an open house...
