Re: Want - Old Android phone
I've got an LG g4 laying around that yoire welcome to have. Pros: it had a new motherboard installed by LG under warranty about 2 weeks before I jumped on the pixel train forever ago. It's in near perfect condition Cons: It's not a new phone by any means so it may or may not have the processing powe...

Is it unlockable to be used on Verizon as well? I know some phones that are typically GSM unlocked are able to be used on Verizon with the apn settings changed but it's a select few. And how much?

Re: Vision surgery - Who is best?
It's not so bad... A couple months ago one of my twins was throwing a fit and when I picked her up she scratched one of my eyes... Essentially removing the lens in a far more crude manner than the surgery did... My doc went in and removed the jagged remains and put on a contact lens and a few days l...

Re: Vision surgery - Who is best?
That just sounds like it hurts. I was hoping to get the one where they don't have to cut anything. Technically, they didn't cut anything with mine... They put some medicine that softens the lens, then they scrape it off... The fun part is when the laser starts up, you can smell the tissue burning i...

Re: Vision surgery - Who is best?
Not sure if this is still needed info or not, but I have astigmatism and had it done last may.. In the pre-screening they detected some irregularities on one of my cornea so they opted for prk instead of lasik... The laser work is the same but instead of folding a flap of your lens over then replaci...

Re: Chain and sprocket questions
If I ever have to replace sprockets.... I like renthal or afam for the front, and a supersprox trimetal on the rear... The the supersprox is an aluminum carrier with steel teeth. Lightweight and super strong. And i agree on there being no actual advantage to switching to a 520. You may save a few bu...

Re: Bike insurance
I've got no tickets or accident history, had a license since I was 14... The AMA was able to look up my old membership information showing I was a member from 92 to 95... When I was 16 dad stopped paying my annual dues... He said he thinks that will be sufficient. I don't have any old registrations ...

Re: Bike insurance
Ok so Allstate is asking for proof that I've been riding Atleast 5 years.. Wtf? I've had a bike license in TX since I moved back here in 05 and I had a Tennessee bike license for 11 years before that... Isn't license history sufficient? I never would have thought I would need to prove that

Re: Brake piston stuck
Right... I only had to shed about 25 or 30 mph to make the next turn... Downshifted 2 gears and feathered the rear brake... It slid a little, but not quite to the point of backing it in. Had I been all over the brake, chances of it locking were greater. The slipper clutch helped me maintain traction...
