Re: Tired of riding by myself.

Welcome. I just met several members and got a chance to ride with them this past weekend. Same for me, too much riding alone, so I think you're definitely in the right place. They're a pretty good bunch, I have to say. Sweet bike. Ride safe.

Glad I finally found you guys (and gal), and it was a pleasure to meet you all. I enjoyed the ride and look forward to the next one. Thanks, Terry

Re: Monthly Moderate - Saturday September 14th

A call from anyone to let me know where I could join in would be great, or if nothing else, call me when you think you'll be at Hard 8. I'd like to join in before lunch if possible. Thanks.

Re: Monthly Moderate - Saturday September 14th

Crap, ready this kinda late. I'm at work this morning (in Stephenville). I'd like to try to meet up somewhere along the route, but at Hard 8 for sure to meet. I hope you get to read this. Let me know your route, and I'll try to join in somewhere. My cell is 817-219-2917. Thanks, Terry (LonestarCBR).

Re: Finally took the MSF course

Stardog, I was going to jump in there and agree with you, but have now had a sudden and rather inexplicable change of heart. I want to go on record as saying I have the utmost respect for women drivers, and especially women riders, and it's a shame we don't have more of them. I just wish my wife wou...

Well, I don't ever recall laughing when I ran out, pushing or no. But the Karma Fairy does pay you a visit sometimes...I'm outside of Sulfur Springs about 5 miles, pass this old dude is a junker of a truck driving 40 down the interstate, cuss him as I drive by at 85, run out of gas about a mile outs...

Re: So I sold a Ninja to a squid

I'm not trying to start a Holy war when I say this, but here is a good example of the good Lord stepping to help a dumbass from toasting himself. My guess is God will be very busy with this guy for years to come, if the kid is lucky.

It was right after this happened to me that I started wearing a full-face helmet. My knee is still a little skinned up also.

Crap, you mean I had to figure it out without asking how to get credit. Figures. Seriously, I was lost (not like can't find Hard 8 lost, but "clueless" lost).

Re: Bluetooth radar interface / detector solutions

I assume the H.A.R.D. system provides the same warning (color) for all types of warnings based on what I'm reading, yes? It would be way cool if it provided different colors for different bands. I think my real issue is I want the audible alerts, which of course tell me all I need to know for the mo...

Achievements

Can someone please explain posting achievements in more detail. Do you have to be a dues paying member? Do you have to earn the achievements within your time with the club, or any time during your riding career? I checked the box in my profile, used the link below that, still not sure I know what I'...

Bluetooth radar interface / detector solutions

Can anyone help with a good Bluetooth interface for a radar detector? Currently using a Valentine 1 in both cages, could use one of those on the bike, or buy new. Have been considering an Escort Solo 2 or 3 with an earphone. Of course I'm open to any solution that performs well. The V1 picks up a lo...

Re: Howdy from the sticks.

Was it Will or me who met you? I met someone there awhile back, but I don't think it was this ride now that I see who was in it. Either way I hope to possibly meet you again The guy on the 675 gave me the card, a couple of months ago, and was wearing a sweet Arai Corsair (white / green / red I thin...

Howdy from the sticks.

Thanks to the guys who visited Hard 8 BBQ and turned me on to your club. I don't recall names, but a Hayabusa, ZX14, GSXR750 and Daytona 675. And no, they weren't lost. I've probably been riding longer than a great deal of the members have been breathing, but I'm proud to say that no matter how much...
