Got to work on this more here and there, and here is a final picture of it installed.

I'll try to do a write up of how I did it and explain the materials tomorrow.

Nice setup... I might be annoyed by the lights at night but other than that it looks very nice.

Don't you want to specify pink lighting on your order?

Wow I didn't realize how shitty of a picture that ways. Miles - I've got the materials, you wanna come build yours, just tell me when. I've got spare of everything but the two plugs and the voltage gauge.

Yes the gauge is bright, I'm worried about it at night, but I don't do a lot of night riding so I can just unplug it.

Is your bike sitting outside? If not, don't worry as it will apparently never see rain.

It wont. I didn't design it to. The power plugs are marine, but the wiring in back is totally exposed. I plan to wrap it after I make sure it all holds up, but I generally plan to do as little rain riding as possible. The entire setup has one big disconnect that gets unplugged when not in use. It's easily accessible while riding or stopped.

We have shink tubing that may work well for those exposed wires. We actually perform water testing on those splices.

Well, I guess that stands to reason considering the age and mileage of our bikes...but I'll bet I've ridden in more than you have in total, whipper snapper.

Thanks, but I have shrink tubing. Not sure I'm going to use it. Most of the connectors are spade terminals, so I can take it all part if need be. I don't ride enough in the rain to make it worthwhile.
