Thread lock, Blue vrs Red!

Post by Tooner » Fri Apr 06, 2018 7:37 am

Obviously one would only use Red on a bolt/nut that would either be catastrophic if it came loose, or perhaps when it’s a bolt/nut that will never be removed or as a really bad joke on a friends lug nuts, or dripped into the key hole of someone that Realy Pissed you off! Probably other reasons to use red as well. So I still haven’t used all of my first tube of red thread lock, but Blue is another story. Hell,I have been putting blue on many nuts/bolts and so far have not had a bad outcome. Has anyone had issues with thread lock red or blue that I can learn from?

I buy the big containers of it, some people chastise me for using it on just about everything but it allows me to secure bolts without having to worry about breaking them off like I tend to frequently do.

So far no issues, even on sprockets.
