I use Meguiar's Scratch X. It works decent on light scratches, but you have to put some muscle into it.

There are a bunch of different scratch removers that are commercially available, but one of the problems that you might encounter is the fact that the brands that are being sold in the States may or may not be available in Europe, and vice versa (which has been my experience in a number of cases). In this case, it might be easier to ask on some of the regional European forums to see which brands others have used.

If worse comes to worst, you can always pull a Diabro and use stickers to strategically cover the scratches. :D

I would also recomend frame sliders... would have probably saved you from any scratches at all.

Is it just me or does the angle of that picture make Valentina look like a giant person? Glad you're okay girl! Sorry about the mishap, but glad you didn't get all scratched up too!

Seriously though, those scratches look a bit too deep to be buffed out. Grag your fingers across the scratch, and can you feel them easily? If so, no aftermarket scratch removers are going to do the trick. Scratch-X products are just a very fine polishing compound that work to remove fine scratches in the clear coat. And those scratches appear to be way too deep to just be in the clearcoat. I wouldn't waste money on scratch removing products to try and fix that bike rash...

So, as folks have suggested, you can cover them up with stickers, but if you want to return it to 'as-new', you're going to have to repair the fairing at a body shop, or replace it entirely. Sometimes it's cheaper to replace than it is to repair.

Glad your ok. As Firewall said, looks like they are too deep to repair. Just look at it this way. Your bike now has character and a story to tell.

So here it is. I got pulled over on 377. Due to the slight gradient of the shoulder, I didn't get the bike leaned over far enough. After I got off the bike, took my helmet off, and removed my earplugs the bike started to fall over. I quickly grabbed it, and tried to pull it back up. As I did the officer started to step up to grab it, then took a step back, and just let me struggle as it fell over. The resulting damage was the right mirror breaking off, just above the mount. I havn't gotten a replacement so I just took the mount off and put the block-off plate on.

Nope, no ticket. Just chatted with the officer about riding for 10 minutes or so. The officer rides a goldwing.

As far as getting thebike nice looking again ... try contacting someone about a skin for it. I found a shop in my town that did a skin for a buddies bike and it looks great. They are just a sign shop but they do all kinds of custom stuff. They took his bike in and made the custom design... installed it and I think it was like $600. I am looking into getting mine done.
