Re: 18k Valve adjustment.
I'm doing the valves on the R6 this coming weekend (19k on the clock and the interval isn't till 26k, but whatever, I figure she deserves it) at Motoshop. It's a rent-a-space garage that provides all tools and sells a good variety of parts needed for routine maintenance, geared mainly towards DIY-ers who live in the city without a garage of their own. However, they also do maintenance classes, which in this case is 3 students and 1 mechanic who walks you through valve adjustment process from start to finish, including assisting you when needed. I've done the valves on the twofiddy a few times (screw-type adjusters, super easy, thanks Benny for showing me how to do that the first time!), but never on a shim-style valve setup. Hopefully I'll retain enough that next time (how long is it going to take me to put another 26k on the R6?) I'll be able to just do it myself...
