While lubing my chain I noticed this .

Looks like suspension linkage, yes, that would have a missing nut.

I would say Lowe's or Home Depot. It's hard to tell from the pic, what is it attached to?

Yeah I would say that rates among the top 10 or so most important nuts on the bike, with the most important being the one that connects the seat to the handle bars. Good catch.

I just happened to be looking down under the bike and noticed it. I was thinking, that looks like it might need a nut on it, lol. Who knows how long it's been missing or when it happened.

Lock nut + blue lock tight you will also need to look up the tourque spec, some nuts on suspension don't get tightened down (varies by bike) and rely on locking to stay in place

yup, got the lock nut yesterday and installed, all good again.
