On my battlax bt0016s I feel unsafe if they get too low and have had the front slip on me when the pressure was too low. Just my opinion, I don't have any data to back it up other than personal experience.

Another concern that I don't think I have heard anyone else voice is potholes. I would rather hit a pothole with a stiffer tire and let my suspension absorb it than hit it with an under inflated tire and end up bending or breaking the rim.
BT016's or BT016 Ultra Hypersport Pro's?

There's a big difference, the BT016's are stock single compound. The Ultra Hypersport Pro's are a triple compound front and 5 compound rear (hard center and progressively softer toward the sides).

It was the stock tires.

Speaking of too low. I failed to check my front tire pressure and nearly dropped my bike at ecr on the first lap of session two this weekend. I was running power cup 2ct

James--when fixxer talks about 2CTs, he is specifically referring to the Pilot Power 2CTs, not one of Michelin's other dual-compound tires.
