The S1k will wheelie with my fat arse trying to keep the front down when under hard throttle..... but I of course rarely try to keep it down lol. Its just to much damn fun to bring the front wheel up with nothing but throttle while getting on the interstate or whatever then holding it there for a minute. Maybe I am not as mature as I thought I was... lol.

Just a thought...but if you're wheelieing, you're not breaking clutch levers...not at first anyway. :-)

Hey, you're doing good, hang in there. You have the passion it sounds like...nothing much else is needed but some practice.

I'd rather break a lever than my ass!

Haha thanks :-D This last one was really funny. We were out for a nice long ride and stopped off to get gas. I put the kickstand down and I guess there was a little bit of a downward tilt so as I dismounted I forgot to hold onto the front brake and the bike pushed forward and down she went. But hey that was the "worst" thing that happened that day so I'll take it! Practice for sure, Don's been really good at coaching me on setting up my lines for turns, I'm trying to break this habit I have of hugging/following the curve of the lane. I like the feeling of a tight turn and the lean, but, I understand if the turn is blind or I have to maneauver quickly to avoid something it will make it that much harder to get out of.

I'm starting to understand now...QUIT STOPPING! Sounds like you're doing well otherwise. Yep, "hugging the turn" can be a little addicting...you're gonna like track riding.

lol I know right! If I didn't have to stop there wouldn't be any issues! Baby steps but ultimately I really can't wait for my first track day!

Come to the one in November! Dont hug the turns on the track either.... The apex maybe but not the whole turn.

Before I do that I really need to get out there and watch you guys do it. I know hands-on learning is where it's at, but seeing it done first helps immensely! We'll look at the schedule ;)

Education is education. So, you can probably slide it under the "no porn" rule in the name of education.

Totally pointless. It's like trying to get better at sex by watching porn. If you want to learn, you have to leather up and get in there!

Same goes for motorcycles. :D

When do you roll-on the gas in a turn?
You mean you're suppose to roll off at some point?

Yeah, and then someone will throw in a question about when to brake, and I'm going "what brakes?".

Wait...maybe you should have (rolled off the throttle)???
