I really like the 1.3. I also like the 1.7 a bunch. The 3.1 is fun but not near as fun as the other 2..... its good for a change though.

Not my corner man.

In addition to the two bike crash there were a number of run-offs on the exit of turn 2. After the track closed I was briefly in the upstairs classroom before I left and Dave, Tony, and another instructor were very intensely discussing ricochet and what is going on, why it has gotten worse, or is it really worse, was it just a coincidence that this double happened so soon after the other one, are the riders getting too close, etc...

People always run off in richochet. They run wide and end up in the grass. Not sure why.

I think part the of the reason is there are some nasty bumps out near the edge, pretty close to fast paced race line and if you're not ready for them they can spook you causing people to stand the bike up more than necessary and blow the turn. Been there, done that.

I've run off in Ricochet before. I had a guy chop the throttle in front of me half way through so I stood the bike up and ran off rather than doing something radical to avoid hitting him.

Nice thing about the 1.7 at MSR, it's very forgiving in terms of run off. Think I've ran off just about every corner at some point and never went down.
