Noticed a thread over on MotoDFW, Ride Smart has a new policy on helmet mounted cameras. Unless they are part of a comm system and attached to the helmet through a mechanical system they are not allowed.

It's not mentioned, but the conversation on MotoDFW indicates that RS is strongly encouraging people to attach cameras to their bikes with a safety strap of some kind so that if the camera brakes free of the mount it doesn't go flying off the bike and hit someone. Obviously no mount or safety strap can prevent the camera from flying in every possibly crash, they just don't want stuff falling off the bike while you're on the track.

Re: No camera on helmets
They have probably had several fly off helmets just going around the track. Stuff like that is what usually leads to new rules.
