Moderate ride Sunday November 1st

Post by fixxervi6 » Wed Oct 28, 2015 2:22 pm

FWMR Club Ride

Meetup: Sonic on Clifford St. in White Settlement
Kick stands up: 9:02am
Ride Leader: Fixxervi6

This will be a Moderate pace ride. Moderates are great for riders who want a slightly faster pace than beginners but still slow enough to be relaxed and comfortable on any sized bike, with a passenger, or learning to ride with the group. The pace for a moderate ride is at or near posted speed limits. On a Moderate ride the ride leader tries to keep a closer eye on the group and adjust the speeds appropriately.

Please be dressed appropriately: helmet, jacket, gloves, over the ankle shoes and long pants.

I expect cooler temperatures so dress appropriately. I still don't have my RSV4 supersport back so I will be leading this on the GS1200 - with knobbies on so I won't be railing the twisties, this will be a rather mild ride. If you want breakfast show up early we need to leave close to on-time, we need to get to lunch before the crowds start rolling in. We'll down some BBQ then head back north

Can't have both of you along, with two triumphs no way we will get through the day without a mechanical

Classic.

Also if I go, can I not ride behind any Triumphs? You know how they are prone to shedding parts, and I have that track day coming up, and I cannot afford to have any down time.

Do you truly expect to ride with a pack of Triumphs and not be at the back of the line?!? :HeadScratch: :-? :SideSplittingLaughter:

And technically nothing has every fallen off my bike. Some of it was suspended in a manner that was not part of the original design, but it never hit the ground...or another bike. :D

That was for you Terry, you know I was just razzing you. But I must say the only 2 cycles I passed on my track day on the 250 were Triumphs. Now it was a Bonnevile and a ST1000, but they were Triumphs.

NO worries, I deserve all I get...humor (and sarcasm) are my daily staples. Actually, if there's not, there should be a rule here where you never have to apologize for giving someone else crap about what they ride. No one is ever serious...unless you're riding a Harley. :D

Speaking of Triumphs and the track...two days at Cresson another dude on a gold Speed Triple was riding...and just let me say he was still EMBARASSINGLY slow at the end of day 2. I think they 250's were passing him...in the straights. I wonder if it was the same dude. I'd hope he's picked up the pace some by now.

It was already raining here early this morning. I guess I should set my bike in the driveway and give it a wash.
