Intermediate Ride Sunday the 28th

Post by fixxervi6 » Sat May 27, 2017 9:21 am

Meetup: Sonic on Clifford St. in White Settlement
Kick stands up: 9:00am
Ride Leader: Fixxervi6

This will be an intermediate pace ride. The pace on the country roads is what we call spirited and has a tendency to remain above posted speeds. On an Intermediate ride the ride leader will keep an eye on the group but is also focused on riding his/her own ride. Intermediate rides the riders are expected to be comfortable riding with the group and have good self control, allowing the ride leader to "relax" a bit.

Please be dressed appropriately: full face helmet, zip together mesh at a minimum (leathers recommended), appropriate motorcycle boots and gloves. Jeans are not appropriate protection for intermediate rides.

Total metroplex round trip will be about 300 miles, lunch is going to be a gut stuffer so I plan on eating a very light breakfast. This route goes through some of my favorite scenic roads, this route is planned as an intermediate but will adjust pace as needed.

Here. Very light mist on the way, but nothing on radar. Hopefully the clouds will burn off soon.

Was heading down 820 when it lurched hard and started to sound funny, loss of power but it was still cruising along. Started looking at the dash and looking around, saw a light haze of smoke behind me, it lurched hard again and then power started to drop off, pulled in the clutch, killed the engine and coasted down an off ramp.

Not sure what you mean, I pushed it into a shopping center and called Jim, he brought everyone to me and we hung out until Jim could go get his truck and give me a tow home.

Ape is dropped off, they said it will be a week before anyone can look at it.

Eurosport is no longer an Aprilia dealer just FYI

I know the RSV4 is supposed to be a great bike, but from what I've seen with yours...I would never have any interest in owning one.

It isn't just his... I think I know of 4 owned.... His was the last that hadn't had MAJOR problems...

My favorite was the one that caught fire at the track day....

Look at the RSV4 owners group on facebook and check the forums, I'd be comfortable in saying the RSV4 is probably the most unreliable bike on the market.

I noticed that. They don't have Guzzi anymore either, which makes sense, same parent company.

All the owners should file a class action suit against them for making such a pile of shit.
