Ride Sunday October 29th

Post by fixxervi6 » Wed Oct 25, 2017 11:21 am

I'll get a route figured out, planning on doing the oil change on the ape tonight so sport bike, most likely a western / southern route

Meetup: Sonic on Clifford St. in White Settlement
Kick stands up: 9:30am
Get there early if you want food and/or coffee.

Good thing I won't be there to help you get drunk before you start the oil change. :SideSplittingLaughter:

That was with the Gixxer...not the ape. He learned the first time (you both learned the first time).

He learned. I didn't. I would get him drunk again before changing oil. :D

It is, he's just slacking on updating his photo. Actually I'm probably slacking on that too, my RL photo is like 3 bikes ago

I use a program called Tyre to map the route. It uses the Google API. I use my phone and an app called Copilot for GPS. Tyre will save the files in the format that Copilot can use, so I just load it to the phone and go.

Tyre will convert files to several formats, so when Rick sends me Tom Tom or Garmin files I just load them, then save them as a Copilot file. Works good.

If I have a route built in advance I'll usually (when reminded) bounce an electronic copy out to the other RL's, this way if the group gets split or something I'm not worried about it since multiple people will have the route we can hook back up.
