Intro

Post by Boss571 » Wed Aug 12, 2015 2:05 pm

Just introducing myself. I have lived in DFW for about a year now. Currently live downtown Fort Worth, but moving this weekend to north Arlington. I moved back to this area from KC. Originally from Stephenville SW of here so have had some rides in that area. I have been riding since 08, but haven't much in the last year due to not knowing a group to ride with and a car blocking the bike in the garage most the time. Good news is moving Friday to a place with bigger garage so easy to get her out for rides. I have an 08 CBR600 pearl orange. It is my 2nd one as I bought one new, but lady ran me over so I bought a second exact clone used in 2010. My longest ride is the return trip on this bus and ride used bike from Lawton, OK to KC in the middle of summer. I am pretty cautious in town due to first experience.

In other hobbies I scuba dive, open road race our (wife and mine) Mustang Boss 302 and Lotus Evora S and some track days, video games, and enjoy foreign travel. I ran into one of you at a The Reserve cigar shop in Arlington about a month ago and that is how I found out about the club.

I think I just feel for the forum noob trick U-Turn's website got me wasn't expecting that.

Welcome. I live in Stephenville, you related to anyone here that you care to admit to?

Hmmm, cigar shop in Arlington, that sounds like Will to me.

Also, I can't believe Miles said welcome and didn't harass you for pics of your bike...a first. :HeadScratch:

Look forward to meeting you, and riding. In the meantime, ride safe.

North Arlington you say? There are a few of us in Arlington. I'm in South Arlington, by the way.

Maybe I've already sent a pm about it. You don't worry about what goes on behind this screen

And I don't EVEN want to think about what's going on behind your screen. :-)

LonestarCBR I am related to the Shaws and Clines of Dublin and the Youngbloods and Tidwells of Stephenville. If you are a long time resident my family had the Jenny Lee until the mid late 90s when they retired. I see you are a plant manager would it be FMC or Saint-Gobain?

I will post some pics when I get situated after the move has me pretty tied up at moment.

I have never tracked the motorcycle. I don't have full leathers, but wouldn't be opposed to eventually getting some.

For the Arlington folks we are moving to Hampden Woods around Ballpark Way and NE Green Oaks.

Yes, ate at the Jenny Lee many times, and our feelings are still hurt that it closed.

I'm at Appleton, on the opposite end of the overpass from the Jenny Lee.

Warning, the track thing is a little habit forming, as I'm sure you know from the cars. Kind of like a drug, but at least we have a good support group here. :-D

Hope you can make the ride on the 22nd, we'll end up in Stephenville and will be eating at Hard 8. Welcome again.
