Hello everybody

Post by soslow » Thu Jun 16, 2016 10:50 am

My name is Mike and i like to ride fast bikes.

I am a 43 year old child who has decided to return to street riding. I started riding seriously at age 20 and was a canyon junkie in southern California until 2004 when my wife an I transferred to DFW for work. I rode my 03 GSXR600 on the track only for about 4 years after moving here and had a great time but missed the camaraderie and adventure the road holds. I sold my stuff in 2008 and decided to give the dirt a try. Started on an evil YZ250 that tried to kill me everytime I started it and picked up a minty fresh 2004 YZ450f about a year later that I still ride and love. Turns out I love dirt bikes, they jump and slide and kick and the all the fun stuff and when you crash them, they are cheap to repair (if they need repair at all). Been a little (lot) lazy lately but I try to ride every weekend the weather allows and pick off the evening trail rides when work is not crazy.

I could no longer resist the urge and found a very nice 02 ZX7R a few months ago that I have been getting ready for my return to (albeit faded) glory. It is currently at Sabin Performance getting a dyno tune and those silly carb-o-rama bs thingies sorted out. Should be done this week.

Stumbled on your website and find your mindset roughly the same as mine with respect to ride fast but at the appropriate time and in the appropriate place. I have no interest in blocking the freeway or hanging out in a parking lot. Here is to twisty rides and good food.

See you soon,
Mike
