Grunk! sayz Hello!!!

Post by Grunk! » Sun Aug 29, 2010 9:09 pm

Greetingz n I tip me bottle 2 U all!!! Been hanging around, cheking this place out, n finally wanna introduce meself. First off me thanks goes to Sauter0966 for his initial introduction post and link to his friend's cartoon page. After reading Brian Grove's "Sportbike Funnies", I've got a few things I wanna share:

- I can safely (and regrettably) say that I "was" a cager although I didn't know at the time...

- Wen I finally did start riding, I skipped the "newbie's wave" part...

- Never was a "Squid"...I love my head n skin very much thank you...

- Hmmm... "Parking Lot Hero"... I think I still do walk a U-turn, and I've got chicken strips...

- Definitely not a "Poser"

...so if N E thing, I'm not aware of any other "labels" that are out there. I'm just a simple guy who thought getting a bike to commute to work was a "good" idea... So again, happy to be here n hope 2 meet U all on Bike Nite!!!

A chain wearing out is very normal, and expected depending how the milage on the chain, and how well you've maintained it. I think about 18-20k is the normal life expectancy of the chain. If you didnt get that much milage, then someone on the boards would be more than happy to let you know how to maintain the chain and what to look for/expect to see, how to tighten the chain...and whatever else. We have a really good group of knowledgable people willing to help anytime.
