Hello all, Turismon here.

Post by turismon » Tue Sep 28, 2010 9:54 pm

Hi everyone, Just pulled up a google search looking for motorcycle courses and found your site, started reading and you guys seem like a cool group of guys. I myself started riding about 2 months ago and told myself I'd never be one of those squids riding around all crazy and thought all sportbike groups were like that unless you rode a cruiser (Which those guys are mostly squids themselves lol). Anyway if my little 2009 650r ninja can keep up with you guys, I'd love to get to know ya and hang out and do some rides. I'll be official as of this Thursday and Friday (yeah I've been a bad little rider without my licenses, too damn hot until now!).

Little about myself, I am 30, live in North Fort Worth / Keller off 35 and North Tarrant. Work in Las Colinas as a Systems Administrator (I notice quite a few IT guys in your roster!). I've been riding as I previously stated for about 2 months now, about 2600 miles already, I don't stunt or try and never plan too, I've been out busting some twisty's up that I can find within the metroplex and just plain riding anywhere I can get out on the road and go. I commute to work often and just seem to not be able to get off my bike unless there is a reason I can't do the task without it, damn it's addicting lol.

Anyway I see you guys have a Moderate ride comming up, if I don't have anything come up I may come out and see about riding with some of you guys if your out there!

I guess you are referring to the moderate ride on 10-9? Your ninja will keep up, just make sure you tell the ride leader you are new to riding so we can keep an extra eye on you, and make sure you ride your own ride. With your being so new to riding, we might take a corner a little faster than you are comfortable. Just slow down and ride a speed you are comfortable at, and let the ride leader know at the next gas stop. We never leave anyone behind, but this will be gone over in the riders brief in more detail. Hopefully I'll have a new rear tire and see you there.

We all say that, and we all, at some point, do a bit of a wheelie. :-) They are just too much fun not to do occasionally. Trick is to know when and where to "play".

Any way, welcome to the group, come on out and join us for any moderate ride that pops up.
