Meatwad
Meatwad
Been riding with yall for nearly a year, it's been fun! I've also learned a lot of new roads and even some different nuances of riding from riders far more skilled than I. Meatball Jenson, sponsored by NickS, has arrived.

welcome meatball! for you have joined my ranks

Re: Meatwad
Since I'm kinda new here, what's a meatball?
Re: Meatwad
Meatballs
Meatballs are Members who have decided they'd like to take the next step towards becoming a full Club Member.
In order to become a Meatball you must:
Be a board Member
Have participated on a few rides, been to a few bike nights, and generally know the club
Be sponsored by a Club Member
Fill out the Meatball Information Form
Once you have met all the requirements, you will begin your Meatball evaluation period and will be given a Meatball patch/sticker that you will be expected to wear with pride during this time.
The eval period will be for 2 Months AND 4 rides. Just because you've been around for 2 months doesn't mean you get in. You also need to participate in 4 rides during your Meatball time. You DO NOT have to get 4 rides in within 2 months, and if you get 4 rides in under 2 months, you still have to wait the 2 month period
During this period it will be the responsibility of your sponsor to inform you of any club events and invite you to attend. You are not required to attend, but are expected to make every effort to go. You won't be forced to do anything, but you should try to go out of your way to help club members and offer help to make the event a great event, whatever it is.
The one form of "hazing" we do have is Meatballs are to announce themselves when they arrive at any club event. Whether it be a bike night, a ride, or a club party, Meatballs upon arrival, are required to say the following in a loud clear voice so that all in the area can hear. "Meatball (your board name), sponsored by (sponsor's board name) has arrived!"
After your Meatball eval period, the President and Moderators will hold a meeting to vote on if we want to bring you into the club. If for some reason we don't feel you are ready, you will be allowed to remain a Meatball for another month after which time another vote will be taken.
Any club member can black ball a Meatball. We are more focused on having a good group of people to ride with rather than a large group of riders. Not every one will get in; we're a family more than a club.
