Came in with a Bang
Came in with a Bang
Hi All,
After being advised by a few people to introduce myself I'm finally getting around to it.
As some may or may not have heard, I had a very interesting introduction to the group last weekend.
Not exactly my idea of how I wanted to be introduced or remembered but well there ya go.
Just a little background about my riding. I rode a YZF600 when I started riding in 2000. Then 4 years later had to give it up cause the now ex-wife hated it. Well after giving up the now ex-wife 4 years ago I got back on a 08 Hayabusa. During that year, I did about a half dozen track days around the 3 major tracks here. It was an excellent learning experience. Had to stop cause my buddy sold his bike and couldn't go anymore. So I've been riding solo for the last few years till one fateful afternoon a few weeks ago, one of your members spotted me on his route and asked me to go riding. and the rest is history.
After the incident, I realized this is a solid group of people that I'd be proud to be a part of.
So hopefully, Ya'll let me hang around till I get my ride back to her former glory and redeem myself.
Here's a pic of the bike a few weeks ago at Ray Roberts pre-incident.
Ride Safe.

I am glad you finally got around to introducing yourself...now all you have to do is come out to a bike night so we can meet you (for those of us who have only heard the story of you trying to pretend to be superman). Welcome to the boards!

Re: Came in with a Bang
Thank you all for the warm welcome.
I'll definitely try to make it out to a bike Night when the neck brace is off so I don't look soo stupid.
Or maybe I should go with it on so people know who I am.
Ok, I'll stop duel sporting the busa after she's back together and stop playing superman.
Batman OK?

Yeah, if you'd had the Batman bike from the second movie you would have been fine. The wheels could have tumbled while you stayed on top.Lone wrote:Ok, I'll stop duel sporting the busa after she's back together and stop playing superman.

Howdy!
You can take whichever superhero you want, long as you check with Sauter. Because both of you now can actually be dubbed Cinderella Man, but figured you might want to go with the one more chicks would go for
Glad you made it to the boards. Look forward to meetin' ya. Nice wheels

Re: Came in with a Bang
I think Pink is referring to the movie Cinderella Man, which is based on the true life story of a boxer from the 20's or 30's, I believe.

Re: Came in with a Bang
Well checking with Sauter would be because of his superman at the dragstrip. Other than that I am not really sure.

Hey Lone, I don't know if you're planning on keeping or fixing your 'Busa, but here's a guy wanting to buy a wrecked one like yours:

Re: Came in with a Bang
Thanks Rhino, but I've got parts on order as we speak so I plan on getting her back to riding condition myself.
And thanks to all for the concern, the neck feels much better.
I finally got around to removing the damaged skin.
I haven't had a chance to do a deep inspection for damages but the forks will be first.
Will try to keep everyone updated on the progress if anyone is interested.
If you were ever curious as to what was under all that faring, here is the Busa Naked.
sorry for all the clutter in the background.
