Hey y'all. I was told about this site by Pepe LePew over on the FZ1 site. I've been riding since I was 14. My first bike was an R5 Yamaha 350 and then years later moved up to a Kawasaki 750 ( had a thing for 2 strokes). After that my first 4 stroke was the Kawasaki 900. Went for over a decade of no bike, I got heavy into white water kayaking and that took up all of my leisure time. Got back into biking in 2005 with a Triumph America and decided I needed somthing a little bigger for two up travel so I traded for the Triumph Rocket lll. Did several trips to Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona and all points in between.
Three years ago I bought a Triumph Speed Four and got back to my R5 roots, so to speak and have loved every minute of riding that bike. I sold the Rocket and traded on a Gold Wing mainly for comfort for the Mrs. who rides a Can Am Spyder when not traveling on the back of the Wing. After riding the Speed Four for a while I wanted something bigger and a little more upright so I started looking at the FZ1. I took the wife to Weatherford to buy a new phone and wanted to stop by Family Power Sports to see one in person. They had an 09 on the floor that was a demo and had a few scratches so the price dropped $3000 so the wife got a phone and I got a bike. omg
To back up just a bit, between the Speed Four and the FZ1 I decided to get into dual sport riding and got the new Super Tenere. My wife say's I'm a bike whore, go figure. So right now my two car garage has five bikes and a car, it's a little crowded in there. I have the Speed Four up for sale. So does that mean I'm not a bike whore anymore? Looking forward to maybe getting the chance to hook up on a ride one day.
I'm originally from Ft. Worth but lived in Iredell (close to Hico, if you love twisty's you know where that's at) for the last 14 years and have just recently moved to Graham. It's a great town but I do miss having all those great FM roads right out my back door. The roads here are okay but most of them look like they popped a chalk line and poured some pavement. There is some twisty's but nothing like Bosque County. One other thing if your ever out this way, I think there's one State Trooper for every five cars out here. So watch out. Okay....Enough about me ( perhaps too much;)

Welcome!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body; but rather to skid in sideways thoroughly used up, totally worn out and yelling at the top of your lungs "Holy Shit...What a ride!"
