Eurosport track day

Post by shilka99 » Tue Oct 09, 2012 11:06 am

Anyone planning to do the Eurosport track day at Cresson on the 22nd?
I cant make it, wish I could, but if anyone else has monday off this is a good chance to get on the track with small grids and lots of 'possible' test rides...

I usually make all of the Eurosport track days, but I may not be able to make this one. TWS is the day before, and I could use another day of practice there to prepare for the next round of racing. If I don't make TWS, then I'm on for this one.

Ducati's, Aprillia's, BMW's and Triumph's? Throw in some Japanese technology and a vacation day.

(Interesting)

I am registered for this. I was told that Eurosport will have people there to prep the bike? Is this true? What will they do?

Still trying to find a way to make this.. Hope I am not going to be to late to make it. Will they allow you to show up a little late?

What they mean is that there are going to be people available who will help you prep the bike, if needed. Basically, that aspect is the same as it is at any other track day. If you know what to do, you just do it. If you need help, ask for it. Eurosport does not cater to the regular track day crowd, but is aimed at their customer base instead, which includes a lot of riders who may not be familiar with prepping a bike for the track.
DemonDuck wrote:Will they allow you to show up a little late?
Yes, more than likely. Eurosport never sells out, and the groups are tiny (usually 15 bikes or so per group), so there shouldn't be any issue with stragglers.

They are usually a slightly older crowd then a RS event, I believe.

I'll have my Sena's there. I hope I get a chance to test them out.
I took my KTM for a short run up the street today. I fitted the tallest gearing I have and stalled it first time out. It will be interesting to see how well a close ratio 4-speed works on those long straights.
I found the bottom half of a 6-speed MXC motor on eBay yesterday. Fitting it to my motor will be fun.
