I still need a couple of things before I hit the track again, so if I can get them by then, and the temps will be warm, then I will consider making this

Current forecast for Sunday is highs of 59°. Its going to be cold in the morning, but once we're in the 50s, things will be fine. It will be good to shake some of that winter rust. Plus, you're gonna get to blast by me when I'm on the 250.

It was good to see at least one other member (Fish R1) bracing the challenging conditions at the track today. It was also nice to be able to shake off some of that winter rust!

:icon_whs0be:

It was well worth the wait for the fog to burn off. The track went hot at 12:30. Only 20 riders. Plenty of time on the track.
Plenty of room to work on maintaining the line at a comfortable speed. The room on the track gave me time also to work on body position and some basic trail braking techniques. I am all in on these ECR sponsored track days. Unfortunatly there is no formal instruction available :((

People have their gripes about ECR and some are valid. Events like today and the charity events they put on at Christmas
IMO this facility has a great thing going on out there

Ed, if you ever want some pointers, feedback, suggestions or whatever at any of the track days (and especially at open days without formal instruction), just holla. I'll be glad to give you some input or refer you to somebody who can.

ECR is just a challenging track. I used the foggy conditions this morning to do a pretty thorough track-walk, and it was amazing to see how many of the turns are actually off-camber. The elevation changes are also more significant than you typically notice while riding it, and the seepage spots are larger and more abundant than I remembered them to be. That said, I do enjoy the challenge that ECR represents, even if progress is incremental at times.
