Most certainly a safety issue.

I beleive Tele and DD's interp of the rule is correct

For safety's sake, I am with DD and tele, opening the door for shots on the bike and/or action shots could result in some damage.

Whats the club saying, fast but safe?

I'd like to hear from someone, preferably staff or a mod, not participating in the challenge, and then ammend the rule based on the outside feedback.

1. because of the safety issue
2. becasue I am biased :-|

Action challenges are not allowed under rule 7. The photographer was off the bike.

I concur. Shots must be taken off the bike, with bike in frame of object of challenge in question.

Based on rule 5...for it to be based on the rider being on or off of the bike, it should be stated as such. The way the rule is stated means that all pictures must be taken OFF of the bike. It does not state that the picture of said riders bike must be taken by the rider of said bike just that it must be taken off of said riders bike. In short, this shot was taken by a fellow club member who was OFF of said bike in shot.
In closing, being said shot and challenge technically have been completed based on current rules at time of challenge being met, all challenges following the new challenge based upon said challenges completion are still in force.
Any and all amendments to rules will have to be approved by those participating in the challenges and will go into effect on said date and time of approval of amendment.

You've been overruled Grinner :)) I've added clarification to rule 5, indicating the picture must be taken by the rider of their bike, off of their bike. Rule 7 also indicates no action shots, which Dave riding was action (I'm not sure if rule 7 was posted before or after the challenge, but I believe it was before).

Next Challenge: Your bike in front of a historical marker sign that has something to do with native americans (must provide photo of bike in front of sign, and close-up of sign to prove it has something to do with native americans).

Can we get another rule, no mod shenanigans?

This was not mod shenanigans. A member and participant in the game asked for a mod to step in and make a ruling. Blizz made the ruling and I confirmed the ruling. Hate the game, not the players!

Ah but it asked for a mod that was not participating in the game to make a ruling. Blizz is participating in the game.

While that may of been the intention of the rule, it's not how the rule is worded, and actually, I believe there was a earlier photo someone took while on the bike, so then none of the photos after the challeneged photo would count.

I also thought that once a new challenge was posted and met it, earlier photos couldn't be challenged anymore. Is that a rule or did I just dream that up?

This game sucks now. All this crap makes me not want to play.

My personal opinion is rule 5 is meant ot keep people from taking a photo while riding. My photo, and Daves photo were both dont in a safe manner. I was stopped (and possibly just leaned over the bike and not on it, no one can prove otherwise), and Dave's pic was shot by another member.

My resolution: Dave's spider point counts, Matt's tire point counts, and Dave's porshe point counts, and the game resumes with the larger than life metal dudes on monowheel thingies. And most importantly NO MORE SHENANIGANS.

She may have been on the bike but it was not an action picture as the bike was obviously stopped. The picture in question was however an action picture which even if you want to say the way rule 5 is worded makes it ok the way rule 7 is worded makes it not a valid picture. And now we have a ruling on rule 5 to change the wording so there is no more confusion. But in the end it really does not matter to me what challange I am going after next so just someone come up with a final decision.

I agree Blizz. :D Darc is the king of arguing. :D LOL!! I can argue too for Fixxer's photo...the definition of a guy has several meanings one of which is a person of either gender...therefore he should get that AND Rhino's challenge after the Porsche is a duplicate challenge of the 3 guys on a wheel (3 guys no matter how they are made --real breathing people or metal-- on a wheel is the same challenge). But I am not arguing, I just saw that Rhino did not follow the rules. The rest of the photos were shot while I was in bed sleeping and I posted what I posted the following day after I got done work and saw it. Not my fault if y'all want to keep posting challenges and photos while some of us are resting because we aren't out in Barber having fun with y'all. Just my $.02. Now that we see the flaw in the rules, we need to amend them to have detailed wording in what is meant so it doesn't take the fun out this. :)

2- If a challenge is not met after 1 week a new topic is picked.
One week consists of 7 days

If a pic is not disputed in any way within 24 hours it stands.

4- After any comment, please put the current challenge at the bottom so everyone can stay up to date.

5- Pictures must be taken OFF of the bike.
Picture must be taken by the owner of the bike, off of their bike.

7- The following types of challenges are not allowed:

* action shots (bike must be stationary)
* duplicate challenges
* illegal challenges

Rhino doesn't get his spider point because the rule clearly stated off your bike, no gray lines there
Blizz's picture is too old to dispute, not rolling stuff back that far, and there is no photo evidence that she was on her bike
Darc got his point for his tire, that was pretty slick, Snail, I'm disappointed I didn't expect you to play dirty :-)
Firewall got his point because lets face it, that spider kicks ass and if you made it, your AWESOME
Rules clarfied

Firewalls challege stands, because he's awesome

Next Challenge: Your bike in front of a historical marker sign that has something to do with native americans (must provide photo of bike in front of sign, and close-up of sign to prove it has something to do with native americans).

If even 1 person has a problem with that, my recomendation is to wipe the entire thread, start a fresh one with the clarified rules.

If we start fresh then I would be back even with the top people..... YAY maybe I should have an issue with it....but I dont.

Next Challenge: Your bike in front of a historical marker sign that has something to do with native americans (must provide photo of bike in front of sign, and close-up of sign to prove it has something to do with native americans).

Do we get bonus points if we get a native american to sit on the bike for the picture?
