Achievement Unlocks

Post by fixxervi6 » Tue Feb 07, 2012 11:03 am

*** This is not LIVE yet, is subject to change, and will change. Please do not post in this thread, to provide feedback please post in http://www.fwmr.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=6762 Rules and content of this thread are also subject to mod or club officer changes / removal etc. because they have not been finalized and mod's officers have final say, this thread at this time is just a place holder ***

Update - There is a seperate site setup for these, and some of these have been changed but I'll continue working from this list and posting images here as a preview for feedback. Probably clean this page up or take it down when this is all done, but etiher way watch this page for new additions because I'll link the image here first etc.

RULES:
1. Honor system, if you lie on an achievment you are only cheating yourself and removing value for other participants.
2. This is voluntary participation only, if you do not want to participate, don't.
3. This is not a competition, if you want to compete join CMRA.
4. Use common sense, running over dogs, hitting cars, and being hit by cars is not a bucket list, avoid it. Do not attempt "speed demon" on public roads, if you get arrested it's your own problem. If you have to ask where you can do that one, then you don't need to be trying to get that one.

** As this list is finalized and icon'd I'll replace each item going down the list, some are already created I'll swap them out in a bit **

They have been for a while. Click on your profile, it will say 0 for acheivements. Click on the 0 and you can add the ones you feel you have earned. That is the easiest way for me...I am sure some of the other guys on here, being IT nerds, will tell you something different.

What exactly are you seeing?

When you view your own achievements page, you should see 5 grayed out bike night achievement images followed by a grayed out banner for bike night achievements, followed by an input field to added comments. All the other achievement groups should look the same.

Starting from left to right, click the small achievement images of what you have accomplished.
For example, if you've been to 25 bike nights you would click the first image - "Attend 1 bike night". It will then become colored and you can then click the next image - "Attend 10 bike nights". Repeat this process till you get to an achievement you have completed yet.

The banner for the achievement does not live update, "never figured out how to get it to work and kind of gave up on this page". You need to hit the Refresh button for that to happen. There is also the text box for you to add comments such as actual bike night count to help you remember how many you've done.

You may have to refresh the page after you click too depending on the browser.

I have more images to upload, I'll try to do that later today.

If you have Javascript disabled things won't work, but if you have it on you shouldn't have to refresh the page for the small images, they are all controled via javascript.

Yep, need that one added. I've been on one group ride so far, and gassing up at the Shell down from Hard 8, we're getting ready to pull out, I look over at Fixxer and he's eye-balling me tugging on his chin strap. "Shit" says me, I NEVER do that...ahh, the pressures of riding with all of this talent is almost overwhelming.

And I'd still like to see a "face-planted the pavement" achievement. While it's not something you want to aspire to in your riding career, you sure as heck ought to get to count it when it happens. I counted it as a "high side", though it was really more of an "over the handle bars" sort of move...with a partial "tuck".
