I was reading cycle world a few weeks ago and they mentioned an interesting piece of trivia so I thought I'd share it with the group:

What was the first mass-produced motorcycle (ie more than 1000 units) with a crankshaft that rotates opposite to the direction of the wheels?

Hint: Its not a recently released Italian model.

I cant definitively say no, but my information says the bike I have in mind - a streetbike made by kawasaki - was the first to spin the crank backwards.
I wanted to use this bike because it refutes the claims made by a company that has won MANY 500cc gp titles that their bike was the first to spin the crank backwards.
